BusinessInterviews.com: Do you have any recent success stories that you’d like to share with our readers?
Marty Stallone: Since its inception, Metropolitan Development Group has undertaken a broad range of development projects and has enjoyed tremendous success while developing industrial tracts, commercial office buildings, single-family residential homes, multi-family market apartments and more. In just the past year, we sold well over 100 building lots to national homebuilders and constructed over 200 market apartment units, and our current projections for the year to come clearly indicate that MDG is poised for quite a prosperous future.
BusinessInterviews.com: What has been your biggest challenge as a business owner and how have you met that challenge?
Marty Stallone: The biggest challenge I have faced throughout my professional career relates to the ability to strike the ideal balance between my professional responsibilities and my familial responsibilities, not to mention trying to find adequate time to contribute to the community in some meaningful way. I’m quite sure this is an issue all professionals encounter, as it is always so tempting to channel all of one’s energy into ensuring the success of a single endeavor. I’ve overcome this challenge by outlining and evaluating my current priorities with the goal of ensuring there is an equal balance in terms of work, family, and community. Since I regularly revisit and reevaluate these priorities, I have been able to strike a healthy balance throughout the entirety of my professional career.
BusinessInterviews.com: What’s the most exciting thing on the horizon for you/your Company?
Marty Stallone: We have several major development projects currently underway, but we are most excited about the new possibilities that exist for MDG throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. With the opportunity to acquire raw land and to work with local municipalities on various development projects, we believe that there is a great deal we can accomplish during the next 12 to 24 months. As MDG’s executive vice president of development, I am most excited about applying my expertise in cash-flow analytics and finance to ensuring that we make the most out of the opportunities that continue to become available to us.

Marty Stallone: Since MDG has been so successful for so many years, our competitors have come to recognize that our operational approach is comprised of quite a few strategies that can be readily applied to just about any endeavor relevant to our industry.
